Man About Town magazine covers from 1950s and 1960s
These covers are from Man About Town, a pioneering men's magazine. It was launched by the world's most influential fashion magazine, John Taylor's Tailor & Cutter, in 1953. It became part of the swinging 1960s at Michael Heseltine's Cornmarket – later Haymarket. Its design, particularly under Tom Wolsey, showed the influence of advertising, Germany's Twen and US magazines. It later increased frequency and shortened its name to About Town and then Town.
